The Denver-based jazz/folk/classical duo of violinist Leena Waite and pianist Adam Waite, is excited to be collaborating with multi-instrumentalist and Denver native, Shane Endsley and bassist Ike Sturm, to present a new quartet: Full SAIL.

Full SAIL’s music is best described as a “musical conversation” - a freely-flowing, improvised, artistic expression of friendship and hope, of grief and sorrow, of joy and love.

Violinist Leena Waite is heard most frequently as an on-call section violinist for the Colorado Symphony, Opera Colorado Orchestra, Colorado Ballet, and with the vocal/string quartet group ReSound, that she co-leads with Kali Paguirgan. As a recording artist, she’s collaborated with many notable jazz musicians, including Michael Mayo, Loren Stillman, Alan Ferber, Jesse Lewis, Ike Sturm, Sara Caswell and Jenny Scheinman.

Pianist Adam Waite is the Minister of Music at Denver’s historic Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church. Adam’s jazz-inspired arrangements have been performed nation-wide, including the Colorado Symphony, the folk super-group I’m With Her, and over 40 different Broadway casts, for Broadway Cares: Carols for a Cure.

Shane Endsley is a trumpeter, drummer, composer and founding member of the Grammy-nominated Kneebody. A jazz faculty member at MSU Denver, Shane has toured with Ani DiFranco, Jason Mraz, Mumford & Sons, Steve Coleman, Ravi Coltrane and David Murray.

Bassist and composer Ike Sturm has performed with Gene Bertoncini, Theo Bleckmann, Ingrid Jensen, Donny McCaslin, Bobby McFerrin, Ben Monder, Maria Schneider and Kenny Wheeler. He has played on four Downbeat award-winning recordings, as well as several Steve Reich releases on Canteloupe and Nonesuch Records.
